The General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO), which came into force on 25 May 2018, is a European regulation governing the use of personal data. The regulation is aimed at ensuring the protection of personal data within the European Union. Since the protection of your data is very important to us, DOMiD e.v. processes your personal data in full accordance with the relevant legal requirements.

The following guidelines give an overview of what happens to your personal information when you visit our website. Personal data is all the data that might identify you personally. More detailed information on the subject of data protection can be found in our Privacy Policy, which you can find directly below this text.

How do we collect your data?

Your data can be collected in two ways. If you enter personal information on the contact form on our websites, this data can be collected this way. Other data may also be collected automatically when you visit our website. This is mostly technical data (the operating system or internet browser you are using, or the time and date you visit the website). The collection of this type of data will automatically begin as soon as you visit our website.

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data collected is used to help enhance the website visitor experience. Other data can be used to analyse your user behaviour (what webpages you looked at, how long you viewed them, etc)

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to be informed about how we got your data, who it might have been shared with and why it is being stored. This information can be requested for free at any time. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking or deleting of this data. You can contact our data protection officer at any time for further information on any issue of data protection. Data analysis tools and third-party tools

Whenever you visit our website, your behaviour can be monitored and statistically evaluated. This is mainly done through the use of cookies and data analysis tools. DOMiD takes the safeguarding of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in full accordance with both the statutory data protection regulations and the commitments set out in this Privacy Policy.

If you use our website, personal data will be collected. Personal information is information that identifies you personally. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and what we may use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose your data is collected. Please note that the electronic transmission of data (for example, when communicating by email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data from third party access is not possible.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons, and to protect the transmission of sensitive content such as orders and requests that you might send to us, our website uses SSL and TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by looking at the address bar of your internet browser. If the start of the address changes from “http: //” to “https: //” or if you can see a lock symbol before the web address, then then the connection is secure. Facebook plugins (Like & Share buttons)

Plugins of the social network Facebook are integrated into the pages of our website. These are provided by: Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. Park, California 94025, USA, are integrated. These Facebook plugins are identified by the Facebook logo or the “Like-Button” (“Like”) on our site. When you visit our website, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our website, along with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook “Like-Button” while you are logged into your Facebook account, the contents of our pages can be linked directly to your Facebook profile. This way, Facebook can assign any visit to our pages to your user account. As the provider of the website, we are not aware of the content of the data transmitted to Facebook nor how it might be used by Facebook. Google+ plugin

Our web pages use features of Google+ to collect and share information. This service is provided by: Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Use the Google+ button to post and share information online. The Google + button will provide you and other users with personalized content from Google and our partners. Google stores both the online content that you +1 and information about the page you viewed when you clicked +1. Your +1s may appear alongside your profile name and photo in different Google tools. For example, they may appear in your search results or on your Google profile, or elsewhere on websites and online advertisements.

Google records information about your + 1 activity in order to improve its services to you and other users. To use the Google + button, you need a Google profile that must contain at least a profile name. This name will be used for Google’s tools and services. In some cases, this name may also replace a different name you used when sharing content through your Google Account. The identity of your Google profile may be displayed to users who know your email address or have other information that might identify you.

In addition to the uses outlined above, the information you provide may be used in accordance with the relevant Google privacy policy. Google may publish summarized statistics about its users’ +1 activity or share this data with other users and partners, such as publishers, advertisers and affiliate websites.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics. This tool is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and that can be used to analyse your behaviour on this website. The information generated by these cookies about your use of this website may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google Analytics’ cookies are stored according to Article 6, Paragraph 1 of the DSGVO regulations. This permits website operators to store cookies if they have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimize both their website and advertising.

IP anonymization

We have activated function IP anonymization for this website. This means that, if you are in a member state of the European Union or in a state within the European Economic Area, your IP address will be truncated by Google prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional circumstances will a full IP address be sent to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. Google will use this data on our behalf to evaluate your use of this website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to us. The IP address provided by Google Analytics will not be merged with any other Google data.

 

Browser plugin

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the settings of your internet browser. Do note, however, that blocking cookies may mean you are unable to make full use of all the features of our website. Opposing data collection

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require an email address for you. We also need other information that will allow us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. More data will not be collected, unless you agree to it. We will use this data exclusively for the delivery of our newsletter and other requested information. We will not pass this data on to any third parties.

The processing of any data entered into the newsletter registration form is only done with your explicit consent (as per Article 6 (1) of DSVGO). Consent to the storage of any data, including your email address, can be withdrawn at any time. This can be done through the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legality of any completed data processing operations will be unaffected by the withdrawal of consent.

The data shared with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be saved by us until you unsubscribe. If you do unsubscribe from the newsletter, this data will be deleted. Data that has been stored for other reasons (for example, email addresses for the members’ area) will not be affected.

MailChimp

MailChimp helps us target and analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent by MailChimp, a file included in the email (called a web beacon) connects to MailChimp’s servers in the United States. This lets us see if a newsletter message has been opened. It also lets us see which links have been clicked on. Additionally, some technical information is collected (for example, when the newsletter was read and the IP address, browser type and operating system of the recipient). This data cannot be connected to a particular newsletter recipient; it is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of a newsletter campaign. The results of such analysis can be used to better tailor the contents of our newsletter to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not agree to MailChimp analysing this data, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter. To make this easy for you, we provide an unsubscribe link in every newsletter and message. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on our website. Any data is processed with your consent (as per Article 6 (1a) of GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of any data already processed will be unaffected by the withdrawal of consent.

Any data shared with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be held until such time as you unsubscribe from the newsletter. If you do unsubscribe, this data will be deleted from both our servers and the servers of MailChimp. Data that has been shared with us for other purposes (for example, email addresses for the members’ area) will not be affected.
